Terms of Service

Flexr is a location-based leaderboard app: you play built-in games and/or connect external accounts (Steam, Lichess, osu!, GitHub, AniList, Chess.com), and your standing is ranked against other nearby users.

You may use Flexr as an anonymous guest, or link a Google account to keep your progress across devices. You’re responsible for keeping access to your account (and to your Google account, if linked) secure.

Scores in Flexr’s built-in games are checked server-side. Attempting to submit a false, scripted, or manipulated score—or to interfere with other users’ standings—may result in the score being rejected, or the account being suspended or removed at our discretion.

Connecting Steam, Lichess, osu!, GitHub, AniList, or Chess.com pulls public statistics from that service using your authorization. We are not affiliated with, and this is not endorsed by, any of those services. Your use of them remains subject to their own terms.

You’re responsible for your username, display name, bio, and avatar. Don’t impersonate someone else, upload content you don’t have the right to use, or post anything illegal, harassing, or that infringes someone else’s rights.

Specifically prohibited. Your username, display name, bio and avatar are public, so none of them may contain:

• nudity, sexually explicit content, or anything sexualising a minor;
• real-world graphic violence, gore, or content glorifying violence;
• hate speech, or attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender, or sexual orientation;
• threats, targeted harassment, or content encouraging self-harm;
• content promoting illegal drugs, weapons, or criminal activity;
• spam, scams, or links to malware.

Flexr is not a dating service and may not be used to solicit sexual contact.

Reporting and enforcement.Every profile can be reported and blocked from inside the app. We may remove content, hide a profile from leaderboards and the map, or suspend or delete an account for breaking these rules—and we may do so without notice where the content is unlawful or puts someone at risk.

Using Flexr’s map and local-leaderboard features means your (approximated) location and gameplay standing are visible to other users, as described in our Privacy Policy. Turn on “Invisible on the map” (or simply don’t grant location permission) if you don’t want to appear on the map.

Flexr is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular leaderboard, connection, or feature will remain available indefinitely.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Flexr and Lacyan (its developer) are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Flexr.

Flexr offers optional paid features. You never need to pay to compete—every skill leaderboard is free, and no purchase improves your rank in any game.

• Premium subscription($0.99/month, billed through Google Play): unlocks cosmetic and convenience features—more pinned flexes, a title, custom profile border and background, the “Invisible on the map” option, and a place on the Patrons board.
• Support purchases: optional one-time payments that add to your cumulative lifetime pledge total. Every payment (subscription renewals and one-time support) counts toward that total, which ranks the Patrons board and unlocks status titles at set thresholds. The Patrons board is a separate, clearly-labeled board and does not affect any skill ranking.
• Billing & refunds: all purchases are processed by Google Play Billing; Google’s refund and cancellation policies apply. Manage or cancel a subscription in the Google Play Store. Support purchases are one-time and, by their nature, are consumed immediately (they add to your lifetime total).
• Fair value: paid features are cosmetic, status, and convenience only. Titles and board placement confer no gameplay advantage.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time (Profile → Settings → Delete account). Deleting your account does not cancel an active Google Play subscription—cancel that in the Play Store.

We’ll update the date above when these terms change. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
